Panic gripped a Chennai-bound Jet Airways flight carrying 153 passengers after a fire alarm in the cockpit went off when the plane was on the taxiway for takeoff on Friday night and 30 of them were injured during evacuation by emergency chutes. As there was a sudden surge of passengers when they were being evacuated using chutes, 30 of them received injuries and bruises with three of them suffering fractures, a Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) spokesperson said on Friday night.  There were some reports that a few passengers jumped from the aircraft and sustained injuries while there was a chaos when passengers rushed to slide down the chutes. Fifteen persons were taken to Nanavati hospital in ambulances for further treatment after receiving first aid at the airport. Some of them were reported to have suffered multiple fractures. After much delay, legendary music composer A R Rahman will unveil the theme song for the upcoming Commonwealth Games on Saturday. The Delhi Games Organising Committee on Thursday said that the Oscar award winner music director will be performing the song "Oh yaaro, India bula liya" on Saturday. However, the venue for the event has not yet been finalised. The song has been composed and sung by Rahman. The launch of the song got delayed after the Group of Ministers (GoM) overseeing the 3rd-14th October megaevent asked Rahman to change it a little bit. In a significant move, Government has agreed to a proposal to introduce Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) in place of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination.   "The Government has approved the proposal for introduction of Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) in place of Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination," Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions Prithviraj Chavan informed the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.    In CSAT, one of optional subjects which a candidate could have chosen out of 23 optional has been replaced with common paper on aptitude test, he said, adding the syllabus of CSAT is being worked out.     The Government will shortly notify the new scheme of examination giving details of the syllabus, he said in a written reply. A 22-year-old Mexican beauty Jimena Navarrete, who highlighted how important it is to teach children about family values, has been crowned as the Miss Universe 2010. Navarrete, of Guadalajara, beat out the last of 83 standing at the 59th annual pageant held at Las Vegas on Monday night and watched by millions of people in almost 200 countries. She was followed by Miss Jamaica Yendi Philipps on the second place while Miss Australia Jenista Campbell was the second runner-up.  Miss Ukraine Anna Poslavska got fourth place while Miss Philippines Venus Raj rounded up the top five. Miss India Ushoshi Sengupta failed to even make it to the top 15. Donning a flowing red gown, Navarrete was the first contestant to answer an interview question onstage and she highlighted how important it is to teach children about family values. 

India will launch a dedicated forest satellite in 2013 which will monitor the country's forest cover on a daily basis, Environment and Forests Minister Jairam Ramesh informed Rajya Sabha on Monday.  "India is adding to its green cover. We do our own satellite imaging and as per the 2007 information, when the imaging was done last, we have added three million hectares of forest cover in the last 10 years. In fact we will be launching a dedicated forest satellite in 2013 which would monitor our forest cover on a daily basis," he said. Replying to supplementaries during Question Hour, he said that as his ministry caters to protection of forest cover, it is sensitive towards the issues of tribals, who inhabit the forest. "Though there is a separate ministry of tribal affairs which caters to interests of tribals, substantial portion of my ministry is related to forest population, which include tribals," he said. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Saturday inaugurated a call centre ' Udyami Helpline ', which will provide information about business possibilities and loan facilities to entrepreneurs keen on setting up small units. After inaugurating the helpline, the Prime Minister said this initiative would help in expanding the outreach of support provided under the various schemes and programmes of the government, an official statement said in New Delhi. "The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) call centre will satisfy the need of a single point facility providing a wide range of information and accessibility of banks to such units," it said.  The Prime Minister said first generation entrepreneurs faced hurdles in credit availability, technology and marketing. Actress Deepika Padukone has praised Congress MP Rahul Gandhi as a "classical role model" for youth and hopes he leads the country as prime minister one day. "I don't know much about politics, but from whatever I see on TV; whatever Rahul Gandhi is doing makes him a classical example for the youth.
