Indian Government is working seriously on this Important project. Government wants to launch this project by the January . With the help of Human Resource Development Ministry (HRD), Indian Government might be able to launch this scheme by January 2011.

Government has invited tenders for such one lakh/lac computers from the desired companies.

The ministry Joint secretary on thursday said that

" Proposal might be introduced at IIT Rajasthan",

Under the leadership of IIT Rajasthan , Indian reacher's have designed this type of very low price computer. Indian as well as foreign companies have also taken interest in this important Project.
