Open Syllabus System Examination in C.B.S.E

At this time the examinee, who are giving C.B.S.E 12 th examination will face too many Changes. One of change is Open Syllabus System. By in forcing this, the question can be asked from any chapter. Whereas weightage system has been abolished. Students have to be preparing according to change syllabus. Weightage system was still applicable in C.B.S.E. Under the system board was told students in the examination, how many questions which can come from which chapter. What is marking system? The students get profit from it. They give more importance to that chapter which contains more marks. Specialists told that “if students know the marking scheme, it is easy to prepare.” But this time C.B.S.E has abolished weightage system and applied Open Syllabus System.

CBSE examination pattern (Open text-based Assessment)

Central Board of Secondary Education  (CBSE) introducing a open text based assessment system from next academic session.  A open text based assessment(OTBA) will be for the students of class-XI from the next academic session 2014. Under this, papers of Biology, Economics and Geography will be regarded, students will got a study materials and based on which questions will be asked in the examinations.

Open Book System Examination by CBSE - OTBA 'Open Text' system started

CBSE to start 'Open Text' system next year The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will introduce Open Text Based Assessment (OTBA) system from next academic session. Under the open book system, students will be informed four months in advance about the study material on which the examinations will be conducted. It will first begin for students of 9th and 11th classes. The implementation of the new system aims at strengthening students' analytical and theoretical skills by moving away from the existing practice.

"I am pretty sure I will get an A1 in all the subjects, so there is no anxiety as such. Also there is no tension whether I score 95 or 96 per cent," says Varnika Chawla of Delhi Public School, R K Puram. The grades will be awarded on a nine-point scale for each subject. Share New Delhi, May 25 -- The run up to CBSE's Class X results, which will be declared on May 28, is distinctly different this year. Sahil Sharma, a Class X student of Delhi Public School, Dwarka, is not a bundle of nerves. "Earlier, there was pressure to secure above 95 per cent in all subjects.  That's gone," he said. Sharma's not an exception. With the system of awarding marks at the secondary level having turned redundant, Class X students this time are relatively more relaxed.  Last year, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced that the Class X Boards would be discontinued from 2011. As for the 2010 batch, students will be awarded grades on a nine-point from A1 to E1 instead of marks.
