The 2010 Commonwealth Games tickets will be finally available in retail outlets across Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) from Wednesday.   The Opening and Closing ceremonies of the Commonwealth Games have attracted the maximum interest, so far contributing 25 per cent of the sales. Among the sporting events, hockey is the front-runner, accounting for 14 per cent of the tickets sold so far, followed by athletics at 11 per cent and gymnastics at 10 per cent.  Swimming is at the fourth spot with 8 per cent share. Apart from the Indian market, Australia leads the tally with maximum number of buyers for tickets followed by New Zealand and Britain. Telecom giant Bharti Airtel on Friday won the Indian cricket team's home series sponsorship rights for a period of three years. Airtel won the sponsorship rights for all the three formats of the game for a period starting from 1st September this year to 31st March, 2013 for a staggering Rs 3.33 crore per game. The deal was finalised after a meeting of the Cricket Board's (BCCI) marketing committee in Mumbai on Friday. "Bharti Airtel has won the Series Sponsorship Rights for the period of 2010-2013 with a bid amount of 3.33 crore per Test/ODI/T20 International," BCCI secretary N Srinivasan said in a statement. Airtel won the rights from sports management firm World Sports Group (WSG), which was not permitted to submit bids this time. According to the deal, Airtel will also get to advertise its brands on prime spots at the grounds and even the stumps will carry the company's brand name. A National Emergency Telephone Number -2611 - has been mooted by a Pune-based Telecom engineer as a versatile communication platform during emergency and disaster management in the country.    Dial 2611, a National Emergency Telephone Number system (NETNS,) is designed and developed as a nationwide single telephone number assigned to integrate local, regional and national help lines and is easy to remember, Dinkar Borde, a scientist and an innovator, said. Borde has submitted his proposal to Bureau of Police Research and Development in the Union Ministry of Home Affairs last October for its consideration. The NETNS is designed in such a way that it will inform, arrange and coordinate forces at the emergency point and is a single telephone number network for India, Borde said. Many developers have asked for a faster, more powerful way to access Google Analytics account configuration data through the Data Export API. We’ve listened and today we’re releasing a preview of the new Google Analytics Management API.  The Management API provides read-only access to Google Analytics configuration data. It consists of 5 new Google Data Feeds that map directly to the Google Analytics data model. Previously, the API returned all the configuration data at once, which in many cases was inefficient if you only needed a subset of data. Now with separate feeds, developers can request only the data they need. We suppose it could always be a glitch of some sort, but Argos isn't typically the kind of retailer to add products to its library with no intention of hawking them.  First spotted back in February (with a pleasing dose of steroids, might we add), Philips' newest GoGear Connect is ditching the proprietary OS in favor of Google's alternative, following Samsung's Yepp-YP-MB2 into the mysterious world of Android-based PMPs.  The product listing shows the 3.2-inch media player as boasting Android 2.1, 16GB of internal storage space, a battery good for 5 hours of video playback (and 25 hours of audio), FM radio tuner, a touchpanel and a microSD expansion slot.  Curiously enough, GPS is also thrown in, as are a set of presumably lackluster headphones. The mad scientists at G-Power have reworked the company's sinister M5 Hurricane into something even more impressive. Meet the M5 Hurricane RR – an 800 horsepower beast that G-Power claims is the fastest sedan in the world. The company started by plopping a new set of superchargers onto the M5 sedan's already potent BMW V10.  With a theoretical capacity of 900 horsepower, each belt-driven supercharger delivers air to a single bank of the engine. According to the tuner, this configuration allows for 25 percent more air to enter the combustion chamber. The engine's internals have been completely reworked and balanced to handle all of that extra boost as well. All of that mojo is good for a top speed of 231 mph on track, which the company says makes their matte monster the fastest four-door extant. Ranbir Kapoor, the flavor of the season seems to deliver one hit after another all thanks to his professional and very meticulous approach towards a film. This time around while shooting for Sajid Nadiadwala's 'Anjaana Anjaani', Ranbir Kapoor got so engrossed into getting a particular running scene right that co-star Priyanka Chopra injured her leg; thanks to a pair of high heels and Ranbir's enthusiasm to get the scene right.    The shoot was stalled for four hours and Ranbir Kapoor being the gentleman spent the rest of the day profusely apologising to Priyanka Chopra and even personally looked into getting a doctor's opinion.
