Open Book System Examination by CBSE - OTBA 'Open Text' system started

CBSE to start 'Open Text' system next year

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will introduce Open Text Based Assessment (OTBA) system from next academic session.

Under the open book system, students will be informed four months in advance about the study material on which the examinations will be conducted.

It will first begin for students of 9th and 11th classes.

The implementation of the new system aims at strengthening students' analytical and theoretical skills by moving away from the existing practice.
