IPL UPDATES FOR SEASON 4: IPL SEASON 4



1. Total of 74 Matches will be Played in season 4 of the IPL.
2.IPL Player auction will be held in the 2nd week of November.
3.Total 4 player , including 3 Indians can be retained by the franchiees.

The fourth edition of the Indian Premier League will have 74 matches, in stead of 94 matches, the Governing Council decided on Sunday.

The existing format of home and away league ties followed by two semi-finals, a match to decide 3-4 places and the grand final, a total of 94 matches, has been done away with.

Ten teams, including two new teams - Pune's Sahara Warriors and Kochi franchise, will take part in the edition. IPL players auction will be held in second week of November, and total of four players including three Indians can be retained by the franchises.
